I had a lengthy email back and forth with 1and1 tech support and it came down to the Belkin router. I had to go around my router in order for me to upload. I cannot upload files bigger than 1kb. So...I figure I need a proxy. Can anyone tell me how I go about getting the info I need to set up a proxy?

I am using wise version 5.0. This is what I get when I try to upload:

unfortunately we can not help you with this issue. Does the 1&1 servers are having problems with transfers about a Belkin router?

I am not sure if they know of any problems. The tech support person mentioned that the problem I was having was unusual. I will email them to let them know. I may mention this forum and about how many people are having 1and1 and ftp issues.

So, if you can't help me with that, can you direct me to somewhere where I can get information about setting up a WISE proxy config? I am unsure about the proxy stuff I need to input in order to route me through. (addresses and such).

we dont think, that a proxy server is the resolution here. Maybe you should try things like port forwarding in your router first. Have you tried to forward the main FTP Ports to your computer? Have you tried to uncheck the "passiv" option in the profile of your server? This will force Wise-FTP to make the connection in "active" mode.
