550 error - what´s that??

hello!
second try - in english:
i have an interesting 550-error: when uploading a file called "home.htm" i just get this:

550 home.htm: temporary hidden file / neuepage/.in.home.htm already exists

what does that mean and how can i solve this problem? i am right this is not a "normal" 550 error, am i not?
i was able to upload the file for a few month... but since yesterday it doesnt work anymore - with this one particular file!

Hello,

it seems like there exists a hidden file on your server, which can not overwritten. Files which start with a point are hidden on webservers. If you can not see this file please advice your provider to delete it.
