550 <filename>: Access is denied. error

Hi,

I have just got some webspace via 1and1.co.uk. This is MS hosting. I have turned off MS Frontpage extensions to allow me to FTP.

I am logging on to my webspace ok but am getting 550 <filename>: Access is denied. when trying to upload any files.

I have a Belkin router.

Any ideas?

Hello,

what version of WiseFTP are you using exactly? (See "Help" -> "About").
Can you create directories? Have you already contacted 1&1 about this?

I have just resolved this exact problem with 1and 1 with a Belkin router. The problem is the router. If you bypass the router it should work. I have been trying to figure out how to set up a proxy myself. Hope this helps.

very interesting, does this error occur with all the Belkin Routers? Can you name the model you used?
