Activation After Reinstallation

I had to reinstall Wise FTP 5 after I upgraded from Win2k to WinXP. It reinstalled as an evaluation version and now wants me to purchase a activation. How do I activate without purchasing?

Sorry, it is unclear what edition of Wise-FTP you had before reinstall? If you are registered user of Wise-FTP and have lost your unlock/activation key please contact support< AT > acebit.com and we find a solution.

I figured it out; the Wise FTP 5 splash screen for activation is very misleading in that it doesn't deal with reactivation after reinstallation.

For anyone else picking up on this thread, you start with activation from the help tap; on the subsequent splash screen, do not Purchase but go to Activation, get an activation code by email and then use your unlock code to complete the installation.
