When I try to restore a file from my DVD backup, following your instructions, I get the following error:

-----------------------------------------
Daily-DVD - Volume #0 (E: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109 1.09) - Log started: 25/02/2005 16:55:32

Operation: Verifiyng folder "E:"
Result: Disk closed/finalized

Operation: Restore file "\Daily-DVD\Archives\_nsd_G\APPS\WEALDEN5\AAAAWAAA.ABD"
Result: The system cannot find the file specified (Code: 2)

Daily-DVD - Volume #0 (E: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109 1.09) - Log ended: 25/02/2005 16:55:32
-----------------------------------------

I can, however, copy the file off the DVD, so I know it exists. I tried several files, from several directories, and get the same error. Each time, I set it to restore to a different location.

System is W2K SP4, acebackup 2004 Version 2(2.1.2.0,2.1.2.0)

I load the project, and either select the file and restore to new location, or right click on file, and select restore.

Is there another way to restore that I am missing ??

regards

Paul

Hello,

This seems to be a strange error. Can you copy the file manually to the desired destination using the Windows Explorer? The mentioned restore procedures should work correct normally. Is this file the only one were you get his error message?

Hello,

okay sorry. But is this the only file this happens for, or does this also happen for other files or projects?

This happens on all files, all projects that I have tried it on.

I have not managed to restore any files whatsoever

Hello,

Can you please try to restore files from a project that is not located on optical media? Maybe you can do a test backup (same files as in your DVD backup) to a local harddrive and then try to restore from there. Does this work? Thanks in advance!
