Hi, I installed acebackup and I think it's a great program (and free!!). Now there is a thing it's not clear to me: I succesfully backed up directories from my laptop to my external drive, with a backup project. Now the thing is that if I check my files on the external drive they all have a nsz. extensions that modify fiile name extensions and render it impossibile to open. Is it supposed to do so? I noticed that while backing up it was compressing (or at least this showed in the advancment box) but I didn't choose any compression or encryption. There's a problem or backup is supposed to dont' create file in a version that is possible to open without restoring? Is it the archive projects that suits for me (backing while having file available also on the external drive)? Thanx for answers.
