Can't Restore
hi.
My hard disk drive just crash. HOpefully, i made a backup on a USB external HDD. But, il seems that the project file was on the damage disk. I can't access to the saved files because they are compressed.
Is there a way to uncompress them and use them

Re: Can't Restore
I guess the easiest way would be to install a new copy of Acebackup and try to open those files there...no idea how they are encrypted.

Re: Can't Restore
That sounds to me like a fundamental design flaw.
I guess the way round it in future would be to create a separate backup project to just backup your project files, save them on the same medium as your other backups (but in different folders) and then save them as is. Then when you get your computer backup and running, just reinstall ACE, restore the project file backup and this should allow you to restore from your main backup.
Sounds ok in theory - though I've not tried it.

Re: Can't Restore
I've found the solution.
1: Create a new blank project
2: try to import a project from a FTP server, but specify the drive where the saved files are
3: just import the file, this will make your files available.
