One of our employees, who has always used WISE-FTP successfully before, will upload a file and it will show a successfull upload.

I, using WISE-FTP, will login to that ftp site and the file isn't there!

I have cleaned out his temp folders and mine, rebooted, no real issues with the OS, which is XP SP2 and we are using WISE-FTP 3.0.

Thanks in advanced,

George

Hello,

can you please tell us what version of WiseFTP both of you are using exactly? (See "Help" -> "About..")
Can your employee download the same file again after he uploaded it? Is it the same size as the original version on harddisk? Does this happen with all kind of files or only with a certain file type?

WiseFTP 3.0.

I am actually not sure what the companie's client is using, but I did tests today - I created a folder and a file on our ftp site (1and1). I logged in with command prompt and I could see the files under the dir command. I could also see the files in Windows Explorer. Seems like the only place I could not see the uploaded file and folder was WiseFTP.

I did a repair on the program but did not have any luck.

Hello,

have you tried to update to the most current version? You can do this with the "Live-Update" - its located in the "File" menu.
What version is displayed exactly in the "help" -> "about.." menu after the update?

Version 2.0, 3.0.0.7

This is driving me insane! A client deleted two files on the ftp site and uploaded one file. Another employee in my company can see the two files that were previously there and not the one file that the client recently uploaded. I only see the one file, so I am seeing the correct info, even though several days ago I was seeing wrong info!

Hello,

this is not the most current version of WiseFTP 3. Have you gotten the software from one of our partners like 1&1 or bought it directly at our web shop?

I'm using 1 & 1 Hosting and Wise-FTP (3.0.0.18, 3.0.0.18 ) also. I was originally using Web Folders to upload, but every time I uploaded to a subfolder, my files would disappear (everything in the root was fine). I got frustrated after a couple of hours of this, so I tried to delete the subfolder. I kept getting the message that it wasn't empty and none of the tech support people at 1 & 1 could help, so I decided to try the Wise-FTP that they supply. Lo and behold, now I could see the files in the subfolders, but the links from the home page still didn't work (I kept getting an Error 403 - Forbidden). Somehow (I forget exactly) I decided to check the properties of the individual files and discovered that all the checkboxes under "Attributes" were clear. I "checked" several boxes and now everything works fine.
Now my question: How can I upload files so that I won't have to set the permissions manually?
