Can not uninstall WISE_FTP 3.0

Attempting to unisntall Wise_FTP 3.0 (which was sent to me as part of a shareware package by 1and1.com web host) gives an error. It asks for a path to Setup.ini and asks to supply disk 1. I do not have "disk 1" and have no idea where to find the path for the setup.ini file.

I truly would like to completely uninstall this software. I find no reference to this particular problem on the web site for via a Google search. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also not able to uninstall Wise_Ftp software... when I choose to uninstall.. it updates to newer version... not a happy camper.

Hello,

yes, there has been such a bug in some WISE-FTP versions. Please just delete the wise_ftp.exe file in your directory (usually this is C:\Program Files\acebit\WISE-FTP) and run the uninstaller again. This should remove the program from your computer.

Guten Tag,

Von wo aus starten Sie den De-Installationsvorgang? Über die Systemsteuerung -> Software oder aus dem Start Menü heraus?
Haben Sie einmal versucht die Installationsdatei von WiseFTP 3 noch einmal auszuführen? Im erscheinenden Dialog können Sie dann die Option "deinstallieren" oder "reparieren" wählen. Sie finden die aktuellste 3er Version unter folgendem Link:

Hat funktioniert. Dannach habe ich W-FTP wieder neu installiert, da ich geupdatet habe. Das das etwas kostet, habe ich erst dannach bemerkt...

Guten Tag,

kostenpflichtig ist nur das Upgrade von Version 3 auf 4. Updates wie z.B. von Version 3.0 auf 3.1 sind natürlich kostenlos.

Running the uninstall caused the software to re-install itself! So I followed the suggestion above and deleted the wise-ftp.exe file but now when I run uninstall it tries to re-install the software and asks for missing cab files!

Hello,

Have you tried the uninstall through the executing of the original install file? In the following dialogue you should be able to choose between the options "Uninstall" and "Repair".
You can get the current version of the install file at the following link:
