I have installed and registed a version of Wise FTP but I am confused as to shat to do next. Can someone please explain each of the text boxes that have to completed betfore I can upload my web site to a server?

Hello,

first, after installing the software, you should unlock it to the full version. To do so, please click "Help" -> "Purchase". In the following dialogue, please skip step 1 and start with step 2 "Unlock to full version", as you already own a valid unlock code (the unlock code was mailed to you after the purchasing of the product).

If you unlocked the software, you can directly start uploading your files / websites to your webserver. Please click at the "Connect" button in the upper left corner of the screen. This opens the "Site manager", where you can create and maintain your website profiles.

Now, click "New site" to create a new profile. Enter your FTP connection details at the right. In the most cases, only the following fields have to be filled:

- Profile Name (the name of your profile, for example "My Webserver 1"
- Server address (for example "mywebsite.com", without a leading www or http prefix )
- Port (this is usually "ftp" or "21", depends on your FTP server)
- Username and password (this information can be obtained from your FTP server provider)

After inserting these informations, please click the "Save" button at the upper bar. Now you should be able to connect to your FTP server with the "Connect" button at the bottom of the "Site manager".
