Hi there,

I've been using Wise FTP for a while, but haven't done a back-up of my website for some time and want to do one now. However, I just wanted to check the procedure before I go ahead and do it.

I know from speaking to the people who provided the system I use to build to the site that I only have to back up 4 specific folders, and I know which these are. So, will the following procedure work:

1. Create a new folder on my local PC called e.g. 'Backup 30 Nov 05'

2. Launch WISE FTP and find the first of the folders I need to back up in the window representing the host server, i.e. the top right-hand window. Highlight this folder in that window (which, incidentally, of course, also causes the contents of the folder to display in the bottom right-hand window).

3. Find and highlight the 'Backup 30 Nov 05' folder in the window representing my local PC (top-left).

4. Click on the 'Download folder' arrow between the two upper windows.

5. Cross fingers!

6. Assuming the above has worked properly, repeat steps 2-4 for the other folders I need to back up.

7. Disconnent and close the programme.

8. Have a drink!

Have I got it right??
