Exchanging file on server

To exchange just one file on the server, do I first download (remove) the existing file before uploading the new replacement file?

Or, will the new file automatically replace the existing file?

Hello,

When the new file has the same name as the older file, WiseFTP asks you wether to overwrite the existing file or not. S you dont need to delete the older file before you upload the new one.
