Exporting password files from Password Depot Server

Hello Acebit,

We are using Password Depot and Password Depot Server in our company for a while and now have to install the Client on a PC which is not allowed to have access to the network because of very sensitiv data. Is there a way to export the Passwords from the server to the client without accessing the Server?

Hallo Bruce,

To use the passwords of the server with a client that has no access to the server you just have to copy the password file from the server to the client. The file on the server is normaly saved here: "C:\Program files\AceBIT\Password Depot Server 3\Passwords". To get access to the file with the client you have to use the password of the server as masterpassword for the password file. Did this help you?
