File and directory names not encrypting

Postby lordtangent » Mon Jun 02, 2008 9:57 am

Hi. I though I set things up correctly in Ace Backup 2.2.0 for encrypted names.

I'm using "AceBackup Backup"
File Format: "Proprietary"
Security: "Blowfish 128 bit"

and I checked on "Automatically make anonymous file names on media"

But the directory names are not encrypted and some files names are not encrypted either. Is there a length limit or anything like that on "anonymous file names on media"?

I want the granularity of the AceBackup Backup type and I also want all the file names etc. encrypted since it's on an FTP server.

Hello,

unfortunately AceBackup does not encrypt directory names but only file names.

Best regards

The file names do not seem to be encrypting either.

Hello,

if some files are already on the FTP media and when you have set the option 'anonymous file names on media' AceBackup cannot rename already existing files.
