I have just started to use PD so I am new to this program and the like. Question is simple. Just as the subject reads. Has anyone ever had his/her pw list compromised by sites whether it be through a worm/ Trojan/ virus/ hijack/ global hooks or whatever? I have lots of sites that require username/password just like many others may have. Thanks. Great program.

I doubt if it has
Complacency though is not a secure or good option. If you, as I do. often have to use a Internet Cafe, scan that computer for spyware at least. Most Cafes do this anyhow and by asking you educate those that do not (run your own scan regardless) SpyBot Search & Destroy is a freeware SpyWare detection program that will run from your USB drive, as does Password Depot. I always ask the proprietor if I can spyware scan, so far never been refused (If they say no go to another business)

Keep your own computer secure. Below are freeware links/sources for doing so.
A good alternative IMO is to purchase Microsofts OneCare (does Firewall, virus check, Spyware check, Phishing detection,Computer Maintenance & backup etc) it auto updates and is not system heavy. But as long as you use a quality alternative it should be OK. OneCare is not a Automatic form filler program like Password Depot is. A important inclusion for keeping your computer passwords extremly safe I also use Password depot to open my USB email program (Password Depot is not only for websites)

Check your computers security (free)NOW!
Keep Windows UPDATED
AVG 7.0 Free Edition Anti-Virus
Check your computer for "SpyWare" (free MS Product)
a good firewall for windows(free version available)
Use a Password Saver on USB removable drive to store passwords

When you are using Password Depot 3 there are already Features to guard your Passwords.

The enhanced clipboard protection automatically detects any running clipboard viewers and masks (hides) changes it makes to the Clipboard; after auto-completion all sensitive data automatically removed from the Clipboard.

Password Depot also have an enhanced anti-keylogger protection so that all password fields have integrated protection against several types of key loggers.

Finaly, Password Depot leaves no trace of your passwords in the RAM. So even an attempt by a hacker to use your computer and try to browse the cryptic memory dumps for passwords - a theoretical option - would be defeated.
