Hi!
I've just created a new ftp account for my new domain but i keep getting this "500 no data (winsock error #11004)" when trying to connect. I've checked the firewall but its not that because i can connect just fine with my other ftp accounts. I checked the login too and its correct.. what do i do?
Thanks!

Please check your entry in the "Host name" field of the "Site Manager" dialog box. Make sure that you have used "myserver.com" instead of "http://www.myserver.com".

This should solve your problem.

hi,

i had the same problem as MrsShaneWest ("! Unable to connect to http://www.sxxxxxxxx.onlinehome.us! (500 ESocketException: connect: WSocketResolvePort: Cannot convert port 'ftp', Error #11004)") and replaced what i had (which worked before) with "myserver.com"....now i get a "! Unable to connect to myserver.com! (500 Host not found (Winsock error #11001))" error.

i don't understand anything. everything worked fine in may when i last used my ftp and server.

any help is really appreciated! thanks!

Hello,

"myserver.com" is only a example for the correct syntax. Instead of entering "myserver.com", you have to enter the absolute adress of YOUR server. In this case this would be the adress you mentioned "sxxxxxxxx.onlinehome.us" (without the "" and www). This should solve your connection problem.
