Hi,

I have just installed the freeware version 1.6.0.1 on my Windows 98se.

I would like to be able to change the password directory from the default directory: Acebit/Password Depot/Passwords to one of my own choice.
Reading the help file, it seems as though this should be possible, but the relevant field in the Options/Working Directory dialogue box is greyed out, and therefore not possible.

Can anyone tell me if it is, in fact, possible to do this, and if so, how to achieve it.

Many thanks,

PcB

In Password Depot Freeware Version it is not possible to change the Password Directory.

This is only possible in Password Depot Professional.

Vielen Danke for your reply,

Fair enough.
I have 2 criticisms to make of your otherwise fine program both regarding the "Comments" window:

The comments in the right hand "Comment" window are hard to read as they spread onto the blue background that runs down the right side of the window. This is annoying!
Also, I pasted the different comments in on seperate lines,

for example:

tel no: 12334567890
support: 56789012334
address: 23 Berlinestrasse,
Dusseldorf 345667,
Deutchland

but in Password Depot, the seperate lines are not kept, and the comments run into each other, like this:

tel no: 12334567890 support: 56789012334address: 23 Berline
strasse, Dusseldorf 345667, Deutchlande

making it even harder to read at a glance.

If these 2 issues were rectified in future versions (1/ get rid of the blue background area, and 2/ allow for seperate lines of comments to be pasted in), I would seriously consider buying the pro version.

best wishes,
PcB

We will see if we can change this with the next update of Password Depot.
