I used this forum and found out how to install Password Depot on my laptop. I already have it working and operational on my desktop but I'd like to carry the passords around with me on my laptop; thereforem how do transfer the data from my desktop to my laptop??? When finished, I plan on using my laptop as the place that I add passwords to and then to bi-monthly transfer all of that to my desktop so that I have access in two different places.

THEN - I notice that it is stated that it can be installed on a USB stick - Where can I get that info??

thanks

Hello,

to transfer your password file from your desktop to your laptop, you just need to copy your psw-file. You could for example copy the file from your desktop to a USB stick and then from the stick to the laptop.

You can find your password file in this directory by default: <My Documents>\Password Depot 3\Passwords\.

When you finished this and use your laptop to add and edit passwords you can then also copy the file from your laptop to your desktop and overwrite the old file on your desktop so that you have always the latest passwords there.

If you want to install Password Depot on your USB stick you can use the installation wizard for this. This wizard will help you to install the program on a removable storage device. You can find this wizard at Tools -> Installation Wizard. When you have installed Password Depot on your USB stick you can use your passwords on any computer, also when the program is not installed on this computer.

Best regards
