How to search for a particular password?
I think a particular password I use may have been compromised and I need to change it to something else for all the sites I use it on. How do I find this password? The search function doesn't search the actual password field does it?

Re: How to search for a particular password?
Hello,
the Search function can be found in the Password menu. This function allows you to search for a password or type of password in your list.
The Search function displays the Find password dialog box. Here you can personalize your search by specifying any known information about the password or type of password that you are looking for.
Enter information about the description, user name, URL, creation date, expiry date and importance or type of the password that you are looking for.
If you do not know anything about a specific search criterion, leave that field empty and the search algorithm will not take it into consideration.
If you know only partial information about a search criterion, enter the information you know and the search algorithm will return all possible matches.
After you have entered all the information you know, click the Start search button to get your search results. If you want to start a new search, click the New search button. All fields will be cleared, allowing you to start over again.
If you right-click on a password in the search result list, a small pop-up menu will be displayed. This menu contains functions referring to the selected password, such as: Modify password, Properties, Copy to clipboard functions and Open URL.
After you have found the password you have been searching for in the search results list, double-click it. Now Password Depot closes the Find password dialog box and takes you to your selected password.
Best regards,

Re: How to search for a particular password?
This reply tells me how to find just about anything, except the password itself. I'm not talking about "Password" being the record that has the Description, Username, Quality, URL, etc. I want to search for the actual Password.
If my username for this forum site is sperkinsCIO and my password is "P@ssword" (and it's not), I want to search PWDepot for all instances of "P@ssw0rd". Does that make sense? The Search dialog box should have Description, User Name, "Password" , URL. It's missing the ability to search the Password field.
Thanks!

Seems like it would be easy to export the database to a txt or csv file, selecting the fields you want to include. Then you could search that file with any tool you choose.

That's a good workaround.
