Hi,
I am new to ftp and am stuck.

I have a 1 & 1 account and have uploaded the index file via FTP to the server but i get the "error 403: Forbidden! The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated." message.

What do I need to do to make the pages visible? I've refreshed the window etc?

Pls help this is driving me mad.

Can you please tell us what the name of the index file is? Where is the index file located? It should be in the root directory of your webserver, not in a sub-directory. What is your domainname?
