Re: Icons
Hello,
The icons are stored not inside a .psw file but in one common file for all password files.
If you run Vista, please copy the file pwdepot.cif from
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\AceBIT\Password Depot 3\
to
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\AceBIT\Password Depot 4\
if you run XP or earlier version of Windows copy the pwdepot.cif from
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\AceBIT\Password Depot 3\
to
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\AceBIT\Password Depot 4\
Best regards

Icons on U3
Hi,
I have the same question, but for U3.
Looks like for v3 the file on my U3 stick is
<U3 drive>:\System\Apps\EAA034BF-C91D-4330-a157-1357a8a92c40\Data\pwdepot.cif
However, I cannot find another one for v4.
I'd like to understand how to migrate those to v4 before I buy.
Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Icons
kljlkjlkj, If you have any nice icons (Additional to AceBit set) would be good to be able to use them if they are public.

Re: Icons
Hello,
we are interessted in your tool and I would like to know where icons are stored when using a password server?
Are they for common use stored on the server or has every user his own icon sets?
We are using an other software for managing our passwords at the moment and one reason why we are looking for a new program is that icons are stored on the client and are not synced, what makes the feature useless.
Thanks
Christian

Re: Icons
Hello,
Currently the icons are stored on the client machine in a special file. This method is used so far for backward compatibility and in order to keep the size of password files small. In the next version of Password Depot we will implement more advanced system with possibility to keep icons inside password files and synchronization support.
