I have managed to get Wise FTP to convince me its uploaded my html doc but when i type in the address the web page has not been uploaded

Is there a really simple idiots guide to using FTP?

when you managed to upload your files already, then it seems that you are correctly using WISE-FTP. The problems looks more like you uploaded the files into the wrong directory on the server or the file(s) have the wrong name. Unfortunately we have no access to your server, but maybe you should just ask your provider where exactly files have to be uploaded. Maybe they will be able to check what's wrong.
