how do i do this? i have my stuff at 1&1...their faqs are useless and no one answers at the forum.

Don't want to offend anyone here but are you uploading html files and images.

Have you written a web page to display the data (text + images) that you wish to show? If not you will need to, I would suggest that you do a google on writing web pages and/or html basics.

If you create a page of html and upload it you can reference it to view it by typing in a browser:

http://www.yourdomain.com/nameoffile.html

Where youdomain.com is the domain you have registered with 1&1 and nameoffile.html is the name of the webpage you have uploaded.

If you want a page to be called when you just type http://www.yourdomain.com in the browser. Then it must be named index.html , index.htm etc..

Bottom line is you probably want to look in other forums because this thread is a little off topic.
