Dear sir,

I was having no problem with the fabulous free Acebackup program until recently when my Microsoft Word ( Windows ME) failed to read the backup files. The original files can still be read with Word but not the backup files. I have checked the Control panel/folder options/file types but still to no avail.

I have tried reinstalling the Acebackup program but with the same results.

What can I do? I do not want to give up this wonderful program.

Could you please tell what version of AceBackup do you use, and also what encryption/comression settings you used to backup the MS Word files?

I am using the version 2003 (1.0.2.0, 1.0.2.10). No encription used during the process.

FTP settings set to default proxy, use winlnet. Advanced settings = overide existing.

We could not reproduce the problem you describe. We can only suppose that the files were corrupted during transfer from/to the FTP server.

Does this problem persist only for MS Word files or for other file types too?
