I just downloaded the Wise-FTP product from the 1&1 website.

I tried to do the 'import' function under 'site manager', to import my ftp 'stuff'. I put in my id number and password but nothing ever downloads from 1&1 and I get the error message:

Unable to connect to 1&1! (500 Host not found (Winsock error #11001)).

I've also tried this under the 'connect' menu with the same results.

Yes, I am new to this ftp stuff. I'm trying to 'upload' a website from my computer to my 1&1 domain.

Any help would be appreciated.

The import function does not work for some customers. Unfortunately we couldnt find out what causes this problem yet. So the best way to solve this would be to enter your connection data by hand. Please make sure that no firewall is blocking the program from connecting to the internet as well.
