My Password Depot 4 program works well - until I minimize the program. Then, it appears to lose focus with Windows 7 Professional 32 bit OS. Although the icon still appears on the taskbar, the program cannot be maximized or even viewed in any size. The only option I have is to kill the program using Windows' Task Manager and then reopen. I can change the focus to other programs as long as I do not minimize the window for Password Depot 4. This causes any current data entered to be lost unless I save after each entry. This is more than an annoyance as I use PD4 to create passwords for both existing online accounts and new ones.

I have an HP Pavilion KC880AA-ABA m9150f computer system running Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) with Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT and 256mb of video RAM. All the latest updates for Windows 7 are installed. I hope someone has a solution regarding this problem.

Hello,

we are currently trying to reproduce your problem on our test machine. Just permit one further question: do you have any open dialog boxes in Password Depot when the error occurs?

Best regards,

Actually, as I recall, the software would not minimize with a dialogue box open. What I was doing was changing passwords using Password Depot's technology to give me random passwords. I would open the site, request a change and then go back to PD4 and request a change. I would then copy the password into the web site and save it. However, I do not believe you can minimize the program with an open dialogue box.

My problem would occur when I desired to keep the program open but not active. I would minimize it to the Windows 7 task bar. It was then that the problem would occur. The task bar icon would normally show a lighter window around applications that were open for use. With PD4, it would appear as if unopened. I could not then again access the program until I used Task Manager to kill the process - which was still active according to the active process window.

I could use the program with other open windows for other programs 'as long as I did not minimize the program'. Once minimized, it became inoperable. This caused me to lose some work with passwords already completed but fortunately, I had saved the passwords in more than one program.
