My internet bank has upgraded the security level. This means that I can't use the flash to autocomplete the login nor drag-and-drop, I have to use F2/F3 plus click rigth.
any solution ahead?

If you are using version 2.61 you just create a "custom field" or as many "custom fields" (click the TAB "custom fields") as needed for your "auto complete sequence" you then give them a unique key like "g"

<user> <tab> <g> <tab> <pass> <enter>

I cannot test this but to configure keyboard characters F2 & F3 you "wrap" with { }
F3 you use {F3}
F2 you use {F2}

Thanks for the tip; however, I know this and it's no problem. The point is that the autocomplete does not work at all! My internetbank has created several security features such as no link (the globe in PD for this internet bank links to the main page, not diretly to the login page - this is not possible) and the "drag & drop" in the top bar is of no use as well.
This is of course the intention of the internet bank, maybe a way of preventing phishing, but it slows down the use of PD. Maybe I'll just have to accept it.

I have noticed that some banks particularly in Australia such as Commonwealth Bank are forcing you to start with a login button which brings up ANOTHER non URL or popup driven screen which only then allows you to put in your user name and password.

I have reported this issue previously some time ago but suspect it is impossible to fix as part of the Ace Bit application because Password Deport will have to recognise the button you want to execute on the main url driven page then execute the scripts on the resulting pop up window.

It takes one more step unfortunately and that is deciding on the correct front page button to execute.

There are banks that don’t do this such as Westpac and you can get the user name and password dialogue box from a URL link.

However I just checked my Westpac bank account and can you believe it they have just now added a small key pad that you have to manually select every key for the password and you cannot “paste” into the password field.

:evil:

These banks are getting very active in the security area.

I do believe you because this is the same arrangment in my internetbank. And there is more: To use the bank you have to install some kind of key software that locks your computer to the internet bank. This is a matter of security too. The advantage is that even some one copies your user name and password, he can't profit of it on his own computer because he doesn't have the key software installed on his computer.

I think that we cant blame PD, but we should be glad that a few banks use the best technology to protect the customer and the bank.

I am a customer in a French bank too, and to access it you only need a user name and a password; PD works fine here.

I think we should be glad to have a bank that focuses so much on security.

It may be a task but keys can be selected with the TAB key
(this type of keypad used to be common but seemed to of been phased out years ago?)
You will have to count and count heaps ok keystrokes to get it though, four clicks of TAB at start gets you to "1" enter key then inputs that character

It is not a good idea to keep passwords on ones computer. If your computer ever becomes compromised All information becomes available (PasswordDepot though does have a very, very high encryption. I would suggest cannot be guessed or cracked. You initial password (a weakness) should include alphanumeric as well as "= ]-" type symbols. Use no less than eight characters (although many/most do not tell you the maximum password characters you can use. A phone call is needed)

My bank has started the same procedure explained by OneRingRules.
When I enter the user name the browers goes to another page to enter
the passowrd. I think mine would work if there was a way to build a pause into the auto complete function. Any way to do that?

Hello,

we forwarded your request to the developer team of Password Depot. Thank you for suggestion. If it is possible, the described "pause" feature will be included in any of the next free updates.

Thanks Julian. I hope it can be added. I've become very lazy since I
started using Password Depot :-) It's really nice just to click a couple of
times and be into the sites.
