Hello,

Normally we update our webserver immediately after a new version is released, so that there is only the most current version of our software available for download. Is there a reason why you are interested in this particular version?

I have been out of state for the past week, but now I'm back, and this quest continues. I got version 4.x from 1&1 domain name provider. I tried installing it, which didn't work because the activation code was always "invalid", or the program was inable to send the email with the code. (Yes, I tried disabling all firewall programs and the like.) I then emailed customer support, and to be frank, got one worthless reply, which I then replied to in all politeness and never recieved another answer. Now, when my efforts continue to build a successful website, I intended to use Hello Engines! but was unable. I wanted to try the different builds of version 5 to see if this resolved my issue.

Hello,

If you got Hello Engines 4.x PRO from 1&1, you cant use the provided unlock code (license number) with Hello Engines 5. The license is only valid for the version you got from 1&1. Did you only had trouble with the activation process, or did some other errors occur? Did you send the AceBIT Support (not 1&1) an e-mail concerning this issue? The address is as follows : support@acebit.com
If you send them your unlock code they will check it there and send you a new one if needed. Thanks for your understanding!

Yes, I got the unlock code from 1&1, but my problem lies with the Activation Key. It keeps giving me errors that the activation code is invalid, and to check the email again! What should I do?

Hello,

even if you might have done this already in the past, please send us both your codes - activation key and unlock code (= 1&1 license number) to support@acebit.com. We will then check both codes and if necessary send you new ones.

Hello!

Thank you for your eMail. We checked your codes and both are valid. But please make sure that when trying to activate your software you enter the email address that belongs to the activation key, else it won't work. You may also request a new activation key if your address changes, this is for free. Is it possible that for any reason you have installed a wrong software version? The correct one can be found here:

I changed the email address I used, but I think the real problem is this (you may want to post this somewhere important?)

1. BEFORE you even enter any registration information, preferably before you install the actual program, disable ANY firewall(s) you may have running.
2. Install the program
3. Enter registration information
4. Use the program!

The reason I say this is because even though I disable the firewall after my first attempt of registering, it wouldn't work. I don't know how much significance this post has to anyone, but try this method, it may work!

Hello,

Do you still have any problems with the program or the activation procedure? You are right, it might help to shut down your firewall or antivirus software during the procedure if the registration fails the first time. Some programs seem to block the registry entrys Hello Engines is trying to make.
