I use a password hash tool that ties the password to the remote domain name. However, when I connect to the AceBIT forums, sometimes I get
http://www.acebit-forum.de, and sometimes I get an IP address, 217.160.51.93. This breaks the password manager, since it thinks these are two separate sites, and hashes the password differently.
Perhaps this is a problem with your load balancer or DNS setup. There's no reason for having the domain name change, and it's very confusing.
If you need more info about the password hash tool, it's an open source plugin from Stanford University, described at
http://crypto.stanford.edu/PwdHash/.
Thanks,
Gary
