Problem with URL add key- never lights up

I just activated and unlocked the ver 4 of Ranking Tollbox from 1&1 Hosting in the US. However-- when I type my website URL, the add button does not light up to click, only the Scan button.

I had had some problems earlier with the unlock code on the version 3, which I still have loaded in a separate directory.

Do I need to uninstall the older ver 3 and then uninstall the ver 4 and then reinstall the ver 4 ??? for the add key to work???

thanks

my email is

Hello,

please check if your product is correctly registered. You can do so by clicking "Help" -> "About".

In which way do you enter the URL? It should have a leading "http://" prefix.

add button won't work but scan works

and i then chose all the found links in "scan"
to "add links" into project

that is the only way i can get added links into project

will i have to live with the "scan" but without "add" ???

are all the links necessary for analysis ??

Hello,

this seems like a strange behaviour. Please try to close the current project via the "File" menu and create a new one. Does this helps or is the "Add" Button still disabled?

Hello,

which Version of Ranking Toolbox do you use exactly? Did you update to the latest Version ? If not, please click on "Help" -> "Update Manager" and update your version.

I had an old version and upadated-- now "add" works!

I had RT 4.0.1 VER (4.0.1.0) DATABASE VER 1.0.0.0

I updated to:

RT 4.0.5 ver (4.0.5.0) DATABASE VER 2.4.6.0

now "add" works!

I put my website URL and the add button lit up and accepted it !

one question I still have:

is a complete scan of the website and the addition of ALL the links with scan's addlink function BETTER for an analysis than just the main URL link??

THANKS for fixing my problem!! I hope it continues to work OK!

Hello,

normaly you dont have to include ALL the links for analysis - the main url should be just fine.
