I recently downloaded the trial version of WISE-FTP 5 and have been testing it out to decide whether or not to buy it. I have been very pleased with it so far, but I have one question: is it possible to disable the use of multiple connections per server, even if it is just a site-specific setting? I tried setting Threads to 1 under the connection options, but a second connection is still opened when I download a file. This is fine for most FTP servers, but it will most likely cause problems for servers with limited user capacities. If it is not possible to disable them, will it be an option in an upcoming release of WISE-FTP?

Hello,

please send a logfile from such a connection attempt with "Thread" setting at 1 at our email adress support@acebit.com. Please add a short description of the problem or a link to this thread.

You can save the logfile by right-clicking in the upper FTP protocoll window and choosing "Save as TXT file".

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

The max threads value means the maximum number of TRANSFER threads, so there is a control connection and one transfer thread when you transfer files from/to a ftp server.
