I have the depot server setup on my home computer, and am accessing it from both home and work. I've only been using this for a couple of days, but I seem to regularly get toasted by file locking.

All of the following has happened to me at least once:
* closed client at remote site, but subsequently couldn't reconnect as server thinks the login is still connected and denies the connection
* server records password file is locked to my user, but the client can't open it for write because it is already locked (by me)
* client lets me make changes to data when the remote file is unlocked, and then the changes can't be uploaded
* buttons on the "Password Depot Server" connection tab are greyed out - "Logoff" button shown, but greyed, "Ok" button shown but greyed, only option is "Cancel"

Aside from having to regularly RDP to my home computer to fix the depot server (disconnect and unlock), I can't see how to make it work reliably.

Anybody have more favourable results with using the Server? Any tricks to prevent foul-ups?

I'm using downloads from a couple of days ago - 2.1 server and 2.6.1.0 client I think.

Cheers,
Ben.
