Hi,

I'm using the trial version of Winsurvey and I have three questions:

1. I am able to design a survey and publish it on my own web server. However, when I try to submit the survey on the url where it is created, it gives an error saying: "Enter Valid e-mail address". Could you please tell me what am I doing wrong.

Even if I'm using a MS Access Database, while submitting, it is saying, "Sorry, your User ID is wrong ! Please contact your vendor.Maybe you don't activate your account"

2. I am using a mySQL database. When I submit a survey, the results should automatically be entered into the database created, right?

3. Do I have to use the Participant Manager to distribute surveys? Or can I directly send the url of the web page created, once the survey is published, to users of my choice?

Hello,

1) If you get the error message 'Please enter a valid email address!' then you probably set in the Survey settings the option 'Send email message to respondent' in Survey Settings -> EMail settings but the field 'EMail answer' does not correspond to the correct input box on HTML page. Make sure you set up correctly the option 'Email answer'

If you are going to use 'Light handling metod' then you need first to register your survey by clicking 'Register' in Survey Settings -> General. Then you receive your ID, which must be eneterd in the field 'User ID'. Responses on your survey you will receive via email.

2) If you have access to a MySql database server you may configure the survey to insert responses directly to a MySql database.

3) Sure, you may distribute your survey as you wish, using targeted emails with URL or just publish the link everywhere in Internet.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. But I have not selected the "Send email to respondent" in the Email settings area. I had checked this before I posted this message. There is probably some other problem. Please research a little further and send me all the possible solutions...
