Suggestion for Improving USB Installation Wizard
Hello, and thanks to the Password Depot team for creating an excellent product!
I have a suggestion for improving the USB Installation Wizard:
1) Add an option to install an AutoRun.inf file on the USB drive so that Password Depot will automatically be run when the drive is inserted into a USB slot, i.e:
2) Notice that in order for this to work properly, the SPACES in the \Password Depot\ installation folder must either be removed or replaced with underscores. This may be a bug in Windows XP, not Password Depot, but for whatever reason, with the spaces in the path name, the AutoRun.inf action fails to launch Password Depot from the USB drive.
I made these changes manually to my Password Depot USB install, and have found it to be very convenient, however, since some people do not like AutoRun, I suggest making this an optional rather than a default behavior.
Thanks for your time and keep up the great work!
Tim

Re: Suggestion for Improving USB Installation Wizard
Hello,
thank you for your suggestion. This seems to be very interesting. We will forward this issue to the responsible product manager so that this can be implemented in a next version of Password Depot.
Best regards
