Hi
Using version 4.0.2, registered user. But I'm having problems with FTP timing out on me. I have the time out set to 900 seconds but I've been transfering a lot of short videos.

Can't I make the time out longer or disable it alltoghter? What if I set it to '00'?

thanks
Allen

Hello,

On some servers you cant control the timeout, the server will ignore it. Does the transfer continue after the connection is canceled, in this case we assume that only the control connection is timed out (the connection that is used to navigate etc.).

About every 10 minutes of so I get a message that says dsconnected, do I want to re-connect. I don't think the transfer continues.

However I notice a few times that when the transfer continued it seems to start over and the file size tripled.

Plus my connection seems horribly slow this morning.

Thanks
Allen

Hello,

it would be very helpful for us to have a look at the ftp-log after such an disconnect. Can you maybe post it here or send it to support@acebit.com ?
Have you already talked to your provider and/or hoster to make sure that there are no problems with your internet connection or webspace? Are you using wlan technology to connect to the internet?

Hello

I wondered why I never received a reply to my reply. I immediately replied to your post above and uploaded my FTP log here. Now I don't see that post at all. It was removed. Why?

I still need help to resolve this issue. I sent an email to you with the ftp Log attached.

Thanks
Allen
