 Post subject: Time scheduled backup does not start

Hi,

I have Acebit (version 2.1.4. english) installed on a windows xp-pro (sp2) system (dutch version) and made a project for a time scheduled backup to my ftp server (computer is a laptop). If I open the project and start the backup manualy it works. The time scheduled backup however does not start. I re-made the project several times with new time schedules it 1x worked for a day and then stopped again. Can you tell me what I can do about it. As I need to make backuos when travelling. Thanks.

Hello,

Is the Windows Task Scheduler Service still runnig at your PC? (where AceBackup is installed). Some users deactivate this service manually, because they see no use for it. Acebackup needs this service to start the scheduled backups. Press "Start" -> "Run" -> "services.msc" to open up the services window. What is the "status" and "startup type" for the "Task Scheduler" service?
Can you please describe your proceeding in detail? You create the backup project.. allright, but how do you create the task? Are you entering a correct user name and passwort?

Ich hab folgendes aus probiert

Prüfen Sie doch bitte einmal folgendes:
Öffnen Sie das Projekt und klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf den übergeordneten Ordner ("Gutachten") und öffnen die "Eigenschaften". Ist hier ein Haken am Feld "Backup-Element"? Falls nein, setzen Sie diesen bitte einmal, denn dann sollte das Programm auch automatisch neue Ordner und Dateien innderhalb dieses Ordners (und nicht nur in den Unterordnern) einfügen. Klappt das?

Dies schient zu funktionieren. Einzige frage noch ist when ich jezt das backup project (nach dem ersten mal das backup aus gefuhrt zu haben)offne sehe ich kein verzeichnis mehr?

Guten Tag,

das können wir hier leider nicht ganz reproduzieren. Erscheint dann einfach ein leeres übergeordnetes Verzeichnis ohne Inhalt? Sie können uns auch gerne einmal zum besseren Verständnig einen Screenshot zusenden.

Hello,

What language do you prefer, german or english - this is a little bit confusing ;)
To post screenshots in the forum you have to upload them to a webserver and use the "Img" button to insert them here. The better way would be to send us an e-mail with your screenshots to support@acebit.com as well. Please mention this thread, so that our colleagues know what to do.
