I thought I'd post this here because this is the second time I got this.

I am hosting my web site with 1 and 1 hosting. Included in my package is a full registered version of Wise-FTP 3.0. I brought up my Wise-FTP to upload some files to my web site and decided to check for updates. I guess there was an update because it downloaded and installed.

Immediately after the update installed, I tried to bring up my Wise-FTP again and got a message that my trial version has times out and I should purchase the full version.

Can yoou please tell me what is happening? I thought 1 and 1 hosting had an arrangement with you for non-trial versions of the FTP software. This is the second time this happened. Last time 1 and 1 had me download the program from their web site instead of installing it from the CD they sent me.

Didn't get any replies yet. Still waiting. However there was a $9.95 upgrade from version 3 to 4 so I paid and got version 4 that now works.

Hello,

A few 1&1 customers got CDs with a faulty version of WiseFTP. The program works just fine, but the integrated update-manager downloads updates that dont work with the 1&1 version. If this error occurs, please send us a e-mail to support@acebit.com and we will send you a solution as soon as possible. Thanks a lot for your understanding!
