Unicode support and ribbon redesign
I've upgraded two times since version 3 only to find that Password Depot still lacks the support of Unicode. You know, I use Simplified Chinese in PD, but my system locale has to be set to English for compatability reason. However, this will cause the Chinese characters in PD all garbled. KeePass 2 is free and supports Unicode but it requires .Net Framework, which is almost the most important reason for me to choose PD instead. It seems PD is written in Delphi, but even Delphi itself supports Unicode since 2009. So when will you update your IDE and make PD support Unicode? The custom fields dialog also has issues with Unicode.
And after upgrading to version 5 I find the shortcut bar where you can click to copy username, passwords, url, and etc. is missing. Ribbon is a good improvement but as for now it is just almost useless for daily use. As copying these infos is much more often than creating a new entry, I think you should add these buttons to the ribbon or add a new tab alongside with home and tools tab.
If these two major drawbacks were still present with the release of version 6, I don't think I would pay for the upgrade then. Thanks for your consideration.

I'm not sure they check these forums for comments from licensees. Maybe once a month.

Hello yickistar,
Please stay assured that the support of unicode is on the top of our to-do list. We planned to introduce it already in version 5, but had to cancel this decision in the last minute.
It will be definitvely be introduced with version 6.

Re: Unicode support and ribbon redesign
Then where is the shortcut bar and ribbon redesign/customization?
I see you keep updating but you should address the most important ones. I think take back what it has been up in previous versions is critical.
It's really a pity to see the absence of Unicode support in version 5.

Hello yickistar,
I have good news: Unicode support will be available in Password Depot 5.1.3. The mini bar will return too - you may enable it in the options.
Thanks for your trust in Password Depot and your continued feedback!

I would like also to confirm the great improvement over 5.2's Unicode support. And it seems also fix the custom field bug. Thanks for your listening to clients' feedback. If I found other issue during future use I would let you know ASAP.
