 Post subject: Unlock Fails for me too.

I purchased the version 3 upgrade and attempted to unlock it with the unlock code that was sent to me via email. But every time I enter the license key for "Password Depot 3, Upgrade 2.x -> 3.x, I get an error message saying that activation failed. The key word here seems to be activation, maybe I was given the wrong activation code. I have written to the support team via email but so far have not gotten any answer. I have been a loyal and registered user of Password Depot since version 1 and have never had any problems like this. All I want to do is unlock a program that I've already paid for. I don't think that's too much to ask, so could somone please answer my post and help me. Thank You.

Hello,

are you sure you haven't confused the activation key and the unlock code? The unlock code is sent to you after your order and the activation key can be requested via the "request activation key" button during the unlock procedure for free. Please enter the activation key without the "" but WITH a possible . oder / , thanks a lot!

Thank you for your reply. I am sure that I'm not confusing the unlock code and the activation key. Although I think the activation key may be part of the problem. When I press "request Activation key" I get an error message that says " an error has occurred during registration , please make sure you are connected to the Internet. The problem is possibly caused by an overload of the server. Please retry later. If you use a firewall make sure that you enable access to the Internet for Password Depot." The strange thing is that after I get this error message I also receive an e-mail from AceBIT with an activation key the key is 17QLBNLSY0ZQG. So I ignore the error message and type in the activation key without quotes, then I'm taken to the next screen which asks me for the unlock code; which I type in and hit enter. I am then presented with an error screen which says "Activation Failed." I have tried this 10 or 12 times, always with the same results.

I am connected to the Internet during these times. I have a broadband connection. I use Norton Internet Security 2007 and Password Depot is enabled in the firewall also I even turned off Norton completely and still got the same error messages. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Two days ago I sent AceBit Support an e-mail as requested. The e-mail contained the unlock code that was sent to me, and also I referenced this thread in the forum. However I have not yet received a reply from AceBIT as to how to proceed: as promised in your reply. Perhaps the only avenue available to me is to ask how to proceed with a request for a refund.

About 30 minutes ago I received an e-mail from AceBIT with a key file and instructions. I am happy to say that my copy of Password Depot is now registered. Thank You.
