Hello,

I can always successfully connect to my 1 and 1 ftp server, and things work fine until I actually try to upload something.

I use version 3.1.

When I attempt to upload a file larger than some 10 KB, it stops right after it starts. After a few minutes it proceeds to disconnect from the server.

The log as it is shown is below.

After connecting:

< TYPE I
< 200 Type set to I
> CWD /wsc127811294/
< 250 CWD command successful.
> PASV
< 227 Entering Passive Mode (82,165,128,194,220,119).
> STOR /wsc127811294/Wildguard Vs Unbreakables_0001.wmv
< 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for /wsc127811294/Wildguard Vs Unbreakables_0001.wmv

From this point I wait a few moments, during which it does not transfer at all, and an error message comes up, "There was an unexpected disconnect from the server, do you want to reconnect?"

If I click yes it does it again, if I restart the program it does it again, if I restart my computer it does it again.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,

could you please first tell us which WISE-FTP version you use? You find the exact version number in the Help / About menu. Do you know what kind of FTP-server it is you are connecting to?

Is their a solution with upload issues of files that are large

I successfully connect to my 1 and 1 ftp server and upload and download files with out issues unless it is a large files.

I use version 3.1.

When I attempt to upload a file larger it stops 2% in the process!

Hello,

unfortunately, even if you are not the first user who reports this, we still could not reproduce this error here. Is it possible for you to contact your provider - maybe he can also check his logfile and tell you which FTP-server software and version they use?

I get the same results now. I've changed nothing and suddenly cannot upload any files. 79 bytes are sent and then the transfer fails.

Just upgraded it to 3.1.0.0 from 3.0 to try to solve the problem to no effect. It is not my system I know due to the fact that nothing has changed between the time I was uploading files 8 hours ago and now.

< 230-FTP Server
<> PASV
< 227 Entering Passive Mode (82,165,204,45,8,18).
> LIST
< 125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.
< 226 Transfer complete.
! 79 bytes sent/received in 0 seconds (253 Bytes/sec)
< 421 Timeout (120 seconds): closing control connection.

Hello,

does this happen for all file types and always at 79 bytes, or is it happening randomly? Does it make a difference if you use the passive or active mode for transferring files?
