Hi.
I'm pretty frustrated about my problem. I have a domain with 1and1 and d/led this program and I connected fine. I uploaded an index.html into the root server but when I go to my website, it says file not found. When I right click on index.html in the ftpprogram and click on copy URL and paste it, it comes out ftp(my ftp user name)(password)@mysite/index.html and it works as ftp://www.myysite.com. But only with ftp do I see my page. How do I get it to work html?
Thanks!

Hello,

you should upload your HTML files in the accordingly directory.

If you are using a shared hoster like 1&1, you usually can only connect to the right folder. But if you are the owner of an root server, please assure that you upload your HTML files in the accordingly directory for HTML files of your webserver.

In addition, you can try to rename the index.html to index.htm, but usually both filenames are recognised to be the index files.

If you try to view your site with http://www.mysite.com/index.html nothing is shown?
