Newbe: Cant restore single file

Postby lwoods » Wed Jun 03, 2009 7:44 pm

I open my project and click on Restore. It gives me my disk folder/file listing. I only want to select a single file from a folder. If I click on the disk drive checkbox (I backed up a complete disk) it sets all of the folders checkboxes. So I unclick the disk drive since I have about 100 folders and I can't uncheck each one! Then I go to the folder where the file is located. Same checkbox problem. The folder contains 200+ files. I only want one. So I uncheck the folder and check the file name. Then I click next. It asks me where I want to put the file. I have tried every combination here. Anyway in all cases when I click next it says that it restored "0" folder/files. And, indeed, it did not restore the file.

So, how do I restore a file?

Version 3.0.0, by the way.

We have tested this function several times and did not notice any error. To backup a file you normally open your project, select "Restore" and activate the box next to the file name of the file you want to backup (this will also mark the folders above, but please do not unmark them). After another click on next the restoration should start and work without any problems.

Does the file you want to restore already exist? Did you active "Smart Restore"? Which method of encryption did you use to protect your project? Which type of file do you want to restore?
