I have two licensed copies of the Password Depot 3 (single user program). The Hupigon virus has attacked the PasswordDepot executable on both (non networked) machines. Bit Defender, my anti-virus on both machines has removed the passwordepot executable on my desk top. I still have the executable on my laptop but the executable will not startup. Bit Defender indicates both machines were excutables were infected.
I do a virus scan of my desk top every night and that was the only file that was recently removed. I could send the infected program if you want it.

How should I proceed? Can I get a new copy of the executable? If I buy the another copy will I have the same problem?

Hello,

We can assure you, that the software from our website is 100% virus and spyware free. In the last few days, a lot of customers told us about his message - all of them use a Bitdefender based antivirus program. We assume, that bitdefender recognizes some of the security features in Password Depot as "bad" here. We already contacted Bitdefender about this, but apparently they have not provided an update for their customers yet. Once this is done, you can re-install your password depot without problems. So the program is NOT infected, is just a false alarm.

Over the last few days, I have had the same problem with WISE-FTP 5: my virus scanning programme from Bullguard has blocked all access to WISE-FTP. I have informed Bullguard, and I submitted it to their virus scanning centre a couple of days ago.

Hello,

it seems that Bitdefender has now released an update of their database that solved the problem - WiseFTP and Password Depot are no longer marked as "infected". All other Bitdefender based products (like Bullguard) should work again as well from now on.
