Hello,

Have you tried to run the installer file he4std.exe "as Admin", so that the complete installation is done as administrator? What firewall and antivirussoftware is installed on your computer?
You told us, that " i've resently paid for my new subscription", we assume that you using Hello Engines for some time now. Have you recently changed your operating system to Windows Vista? Was this a clean install on a formated harddrive or some kind of upgrade installation of an existing Windows?

I re-installed HES4.0.5 as Admin, but still i get the same problem, this is a brand new PC that came with Vista Home Prem installed on a formated hard drive, i use Norton Internet Security 2007

When i un-install HES4.0.5 it does not remove 1 of the files, called HE.INI and inside the file i get this text.

Hello,

since you get this error message with both programs, we assume this is a problem with your operating system, maybe hardware. Have you enabled the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) on your computer? Maybe it will help to disable DEP for WiseFTP and Hello Engines here:

1. Open System by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.

2. Click Advanced System Settings. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3. Under Performance, click Settings.

4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

5. Select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for, and then click OK.
If the program is not in the list (we assume its not), click Add. Browse to the Program Files folder, find the executable file for the program (wise_ftp.exe and helloengines.exe), and then click Open.
