Hi

I had our website up and running for all of 10 minutes but when I came out of Wise.FTP a lot of error boxes popped up and when I checked the website it had gone!

I tried to get it going again but nothing worked. I uninstalled everything and started again, I uninstalled it, installed it again and did the Live Update before doing anything else!! I even uninstalled it and put in a different version but it still didn't work!

Eventually another error appeared (I'm not sure if this is the same as the original but 4 seperate boxes appeared with this one in it):

Zugriffsuerletzung bei Adresse 004023CC in Modul 'wise_ftp.exe'. Schreiben von Adresse 22FC016C

I haven't got a clue what is says!

I've now uninstalled it completely and got the website up and running through Dreamweaver which is what I built the website on.

Hope you can give me a clue as to what was wrong as I've now got one hell of a headache trying to sort it out but luckily our website was only down for 10 hours.

Regards

Kate

Hello,

which version of Wise-FTP do you use, and which operating system? Thank you in advance for these informations.

Hi Julian

I downloaded the version that 1&1 have on their site and then I updated it to v.3.1.1.

I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6.

Hello,

unfortunately the error message is a very general one (access violation) which can't really be reproduced. Could you please give us some more information about your system (Windows version, installed software that is running in the background...)?
