Can anyone explain this or let me know of any patches etc to stop it!

I have Version 3 of Wise-ftp and when i install it on my pc, from that moment on if i go into Windows Explorer i can't create folders, cut, copy, move or send files/folders anywhere... :-(

If i uninstall it all's fine!

I have done this several times now and even tried various machines and still the same. At present it's now uninstalled as i couldn't back up my files. But i really need to be able to upload my webpages.

Please help if you can!

Sue :-)

By the way my PC specs are - Amd Athlon XP, with Win XP (home), 1gb ram, 180gb hdd.

Hello,

this problem has never been reported. It is confirmed that Wise-FTP is the cause of this problems? Which operating system and which exact version of Wise-FTP are you using?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I seem to have sorted out the problem now (hopefully - fingers crossed).

I originally got my copy of the program through having an account with 1&1 web hosting and was using V3 on my Windows XP Home edition pc.

I also emailed them too and they said they had a more recent copy of the one i had installed and to try that.

I downloaded (from them) the most recent copy - they have V3 (3.0.0.7) and have installed it to my slave drive (D:\ instead of C:\) on my pc and it s-e-e-m-s to be working ok now.

It was all very frustrating and yes it was definitely the Wise-FTP prog/version that caused my problems...

Anyway, this should hopefully help if someone else has the same problem in future!

Thank You very much

Sue :-)

Hello,

thanks for this information. Anyway, usually this should not happen so we will forward this information to our developers, too.
