Hi:

read many of the other posts about this but nothing to address my problem.

Just signed up with 1&1 and have WiseFTP 3.0 (with an update). My site: irenesfineart.com is not yet published. When I publish irenesfineart.com with Wise, I get error message: 500 No Data (winsock error #11004). I am using 'passive mode'. No www. when uploading and am pretty sure all the user/password stuff is good as I've done this many times at other hosts and with other FTP clients.

I tried to publish with my other good FTP, Coffecup, but it tells me 'the site not found'.


It's Sunday here, so I've not received a reply from 1&1 about this but am writing here incase someone can help me with this.

Hello,

please update to the most current version of WiseFTP at first - you can do this via the Live-Update in the "File" menu. Also make sure that no firewall that is running in the background blocks the program from connecting to the internet. Have you tried to connect using the active mode? Can you please post us the complete FTP-Log of such an failed connection attempt?
