i get this every time i dl a large number of files form my server which due to constant change is around every two days... what is it? and why do i get it, it also then knocks out access for me to the server or the site for anythig from 15 mins to 4 hours... it's makeing the progrma unusable. ANd no it's not my fire wall or my router i have still access things perfectly well it's an inhertent problem with wise ftp...

please tell me how this is fixed or whats causing it.

This might be caused by some traffic limitations on the route from your computer to your ftp server. Could you please check the following:
1) Click the main menu Options|Preferences -> Connection/Transfer
2) Check the "Number of simultaneous transfers". We would recommend to decrease the number.

10 simultaneous transfers are good for very fast both Internet connection and ftp server. An optimum value might be found only by experiment. We would recommend you to try multiple files transfers at the number of simultaneous transfers 3 or 5.
