Hello,

please have a look at Program Options -> Email Settings. Here you can define different settings for sending and receiving e-mails:

Administrator E-Mail: Enter a valid e-mail address which will be used for some functions of WinSurvey.

POP 3 server - This is where the answers to your surveys are collected from.

Host name/Address: Enter the address of your POP3 server, e.g. pop.myhost.de.

Port: The default port is 110.

User name: Enter your user name for the POP3 server.

Password: Enter your password for the POP3 server.

Leave imported messages on server: If you check this box the e-mails will not be moved from the server, but the answers will just be imported to your database.

SMTP server - This is the server which is used to send e-mails to your recipients.

Host name/Address: Enter the address of your SMTP server.

Port: The default port is 25.

User name:
Enter your user name for the SMTP server.

Password: Enter your password for the SMTP server.

Click OK to save the changes.

Well... even I tried... it did not work.

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS or SSL: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
Port for SSL: 465
Account Name: your full email address (including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com)
Email Address: your email address (username@gmail.com or username@your_domain.com)
Password: your Gmail password

Incoming mail test gives me error:

And smtp-mail test doesn't work att all (after that have to kill winsurvey process).

Is it possible that you create on testgmail account and will be test this?

Hello,

just got the feedback from our development department. They state that currently WinSurvey does not support E-mail transport via SSL, so probably that is the reason of the problem.
