I have been trying to upload files to an OpenVMS systems without success.

Wise-FTP evidently wants to insert a slash (/) as the first character of the target filename.

For example the source file might be names x.x and sould be going to the following file name:

$1$dga107:[dir_name]x.x

Wise however wants to send it as

$1$dga107:[dir_name]/x.x

A slash is not a valid character for a file name in OpenVMS.

So my question is, how do I get wise to STOP inserting the slash in the filename?

Thanks,

OpenVMS is is compatible with all IP services. Other clients such as Reflection FTP, Cute FTP and many others work just fine. Wise for some reason want to inser a slash in the file name. As I stated before, a slash (/) is not a valid character for a file name in OpenVMS.

The FTP server in this case it the Miltunet FTP server from process software. (http://www.process.com)

I realize that the majority of your customers are Windows users transferring to other Windows and *nix systems, but I like the Wise product and would like to use it with OenVMS.
